My work revolves on a constant investigation and exploration of the properties of language and how, through associative combinations, we can find new meanings and thus see the world around us with greater clarity and awareness. The linguistic material unit is loaded with semantic, semiotic, historical, cultural, and associative meanings in its most abstract form. Even the most simple concept increases in complexity in the face of detail.
In this understanding of language, my artistic realization focuses on its pragmatics, not giving new information but rearranging what we already know and sharing as a social species to create experiences of inflection and reflection. My methods and techniques are transformed and adapted according to the object of study, materials, assembly, or systems; research dictates everything. As an artist, my purpose is not to present what, in my opinion, is an absolute truth. My purpose, and what we must all aspire to, is to contribute towards the clarity and progress of an increasingly higher value of what surrounds us.
